Sam graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a doctor of physical therapy degree and a bachelor of science degree in biology. She gained pediatric experiences in PT school helping to run an after-school program to increase physical activity in kids with disabilities, researching the effects of martial arts on children with autism spectrum disorder, and acting as a personal care assistant for a boy with cerebral palsy. After completing a pediatric clinical in Abilene, Texas, she knew a career in pediatrics was the right choice for her! Seeing kiddos achieve their own goals to help make daily life easier and more fun became her passion. Sam has experience working in outpatient pediatrics and school-based physical therapy. In her free time, Sam loves doing anything outside, including playing volleyball and softball, hiking, and running. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. Sam is so excited to be part of the CI team and to work in such a fun environment!
