Maria earned her bachelor of science in communication sciences and disorders from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI, and her master of arts in speech-language pathology from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She previously worked as a school-based speech therapist in Metro Detroit, supporting elementary and middle school students with a variety of expressive, receptive, pragmatic, articulation, and fluency needs. Before moving to Madison, Maria also gained experience in a private pediatric practice, where she discovered her passion for working closely with children and their families in an outpatient setting. This passion brought her to CI, where she enjoys providing parent coaching and individualized interventions. Maria is trained in Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) for gestalt language processors and is committed to making speech therapy both fun and functional, celebrating each milestone her clients achieve. Outside of work, she enjoys watching sports, exploring local coffee shops, crafting, traveling, and discovering everything Madison has to offer!
