Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree from UW-Eau Claire and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the UW-Stevens Point. Lauren began her career at CI in Madison, WI, but she relocated to central Wisconsin where she gained additional experience within a school district before helping open the Wausau location. She has been with CI for over 9 years and enjoys meeting, working, and learning from new and seasoned kiddos and families! She is passionate about child & family-centered therapy using a neuroaffirming approach. She believes it’s pivotal to put the “fun” in functional. Lauren has developed a special interest for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and working with children with complex care needs. She is trained in the Get Permission approach to feeding, PODD, PROMPT, and a portion of DIR Floortime therapy. Apart from spending her days at CI, she stays busy spending quality time with her husband and 3 young children.
