Kayla graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in social welfare. After graduation, she worked as a family advocate with Early Head Start families in Dane County. In 2018 she completed her Infant, Early Childhood, and Family Mental Health Capstone Certificate program through UW-Madison. In addition, she is also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Prior to coming to CI, Kayla worked as a care coordinator for a Wisconsin-based Medicare Advantage plan. Kayla grew up in Madison, WI and has a younger brother who is deaf, her family utilized many supports and services around the area after he was diagnosed. Kayla is passionate about being a support and advocate for families in the community because of the wonderful services and people who were a big part of her brother’s life. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys learning a new craft skill, reading, and spending time with her husband and daughter. As a family, they spend a lot of time outdoors and tailgating at Packer football games.
