Katie received her bachelor of science in psychology and master of science in occupational therapy from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. During her time at the UW, she was fortunate to work as a research assistant at the Waisman Center and a teaching assistant for a pediatrics course in the UW Occupational Therapy program. Katie is certified in the Get Permission Approach to Sensory Mealtime Challenges and enjoys empowering children and their families to expand their diet and develop a healthy and happy mealtime environment. She has attended continuing education on Ross Greene’s Collaborative and Proactive Solutions model, focusing on problem solving with children in a collaborative way to find mutually beneficial solutions to challenges. She has had a long-standing passion for pediatrics and enjoys collaborating with families to promote independence and facilitate growth in each child, always through play! She enjoys being a part of such a fun-loving and collaborative team at CI! Outside of work, Katie enjoys getting outside, cooking, and spending time with her family.
